Johnson May would like to congratulate our Attorney Sheli Fulcher Koontz on her promotion to the position of Partner with the firm. Sheli handles cases in a variety of areas, including family law, estate planning, personal injury, family law mediation, and co-parenting coaching for Johnson May. Sheli’s mission is to take the guesswork out of navigating the legal system maze and provide concierge-style legal services that the clients need to enjoy long-term stability and success for themselves and their families. Sheli Fulcher Koontz earned her Juris Doctor at the University of Idaho in 2001, after obtaining degrees in molecular biology and forensic sciences from Northwest Nazarene College and Marquette University. Sheli’s initial practice years involved plaintiff personal injury work in the Boise area. Prior to joining Johnson May, Sheli owned and operated her own law firm for 10 years in Boise, Idaho.

Johnson May welcomes our newest member to our team! Louis Spiker comes to Johnson May with over 10 years of legal experience in Idaho. His practice emphasizes creditor’s rights, commercial litigation, and business transactions. Louis also practices in the areas of real estate, land use, and agriculture. Louis Spiker earned his Juris Doctor at the University of Idaho College of Law after obtaining a degree in economics from the University of Michigan. Prior to joining Johnson May, Louis was a Partner for a Boise law firm where he managed the Creditors’ Rights practice group for the last five years.

Lea Kear comes to Johnson May from a Plaintiff’s personal injury practice and brings a long history of litigation experience. Lea’s experience in litigation began in Columbia County, Oregon where she served as a prosecutor and conducted countless jury and bench trials. In addition to her litigation experience, Lea has experience in administrative and appellate law. Lea is licensed in both Oregon and Idaho. When she is not working, Lea enjoys hiking, snorkeling, and spending time with family and friends.

Johnson May welcomes its newest member to our team! Melanie Anderson has been a paralegal since 2008. Before that, she was a court clerk for Ada County District Court for eight years. Melanie received her bachelor's degree from San Diego State University and is currently in her second year of law school. When not at school or in the office, Melanie enjoys camping, hiking, and kayaking with her husband and two daughters.

Johnson May has MOVED! Both offices located in Eagle and Boise were moved to one location in downtown Boise. We are now located on the second floor of the Chase Plaza Building. Our firm is excited to be a part of all that Boise offers and also the privilege to help give back to where this firm started. Lawyer Chad Moody has joined the Johnson May team! Chad has experience in several areas such as real estate, bankruptcy, and business-related matters. His areas of practice include civil litigation and transactional work. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho College of Law and was ranked in the top 10 percent of his class.
